I remember having a 1280×960 (technically HD) monitor around the year 2000. Computer displays capable of HD graphics have existed for a very long time as they were not bound by broadcasting standards. For this reason there exist HD displays with resolution lower than 1080p such as 720p. HD refers to anything which has more scan lines and higher frequency scan lines than SD. SD refers to playing on a traditional television set which complies with PAL or NTSC standards which place strict limits on the number of scan lines and bandwidth of each scan. The SD vs HD argument only really effected consoles, specially with the Xbox 360 and PS3 vs Wii. PCs were capable of “HD” graphics back in the 1990s. It is important to be aware that PC games never really had a concept of SD vs HD. Warcraft III: Reign Of Chaos: The third edition of the excellent strategic WarCraft series determined by the authors with the term Role Play Strategy, ie the next stage in the evolution. The settings offered will be entirely new and mirror other modern games such as post processing effects, shader quality, e.t.c. Warcraft III: Reign Of Chaos - Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne The game is updated to version - V1a + DLC Info 4K And 8K: The resolution of 4k and 8K can be set in the Register. This is required because the enhanced graphics might bottleneck some lower end GPUs and higher resolutions. Reforged graphics might have many visual fidelity settings. Maintaining them as an option is pointless as pretty soon every in production GPU could easily handle the classic high fidelity settings. Reforged might remove the lower visual fidelity settings from the classic graphics. There is no “SD” within the concept of Warcraft III since Warcraft III being a PC game always supported HD resolutions.
